Overview
ErgoGames.io was deployed in January of 2022 but has been a project in the making for over eight months prior. ErgoGames.io took root in the idea that the Ergo Blockchain has tremendous potential to become a leading layer-1 solution, and that blockchain-based games will play an integral role in the network’s growth.
ErgoGames.io was built for several primary reasons. The first was to provide a collective or “go-to” place that showcases games that are fully built or in development for the Ergo Blockchain. Organizations, such as SigmaVerse, perform an exceptional job of showcasing many different projects on Ergo but we saw the opportunity to pinpoint gaming as a quickly growing industry within Ergo that could be built upon in a highly meaningful and scalable manner. The second key reason for creating ErgoGames.io was to create an umbrella organization for current and future game releases by our development team.
Our team is extremely excited to be a part of the ever-growing Ergo ecosystem. We see the vast potential in the blockchain, but more importantly, the people developing dApps and other resources for the community. ErgoGames.io plans to fill the current void of a central point to pool gaming resources.
Values
Many projects use NFTs as the analogical equivalent of a key being the final product of a home, versus a key being the means to unlock and open a door to a home. We strive to bring utility to our NFTs through exclusive access to a blockchain related game, along with offering other smaller utilities within our social media platforms, including Discord.
We are constantly using feedback as a way to evaluate our deployment methods and to get a sense of public sentiment on gaming in general.
We believe in transparency and community involvement and welcome any and all people into our community. We look forward to continuing our development and hope to contribute to Ergo as it grows into maturity.
Vision
Our vision is to deploy a multi-faceted organization that will offer gaming products and services through the following:
Build and deploy games exclusively for the Ergo Blockchain.
Showcase games that are either exclusively on or cross-chained onto Ergo.
Create a space where developers can receive direct input from the community as they build and improve games. This space is called Proof of Concept+.
Promote and host game tournaments that offer monetary and/or tokenized rewards
Host both educational classes on game building and Game Jams to help other developers build on Ergo.
